“ One star gone because they STILL don't take cards! Up your prices 2.5% and take cards already! Food is great!! Daily specials so you can try something off menu, I love that. Liver is amazing! Daily soups are all good. Burgers are good. Clean restaurant. They have an atm inside but I'm not paying that huge fee! If you took cards your waitresses will probably get better tips! ;) ”

“ Another FIVE stars for this gem of a restaurant! My sister and I stopped in for breakfast/lunch only to realize breakfast is listed available ALL DAY on the menu! Tough choice, but we decided to share home fries and a side of cream dried beef-excellent choice! We sat at the bar and were promptly served by nice people. The bar and furnishings were still in GREAT shape after all these years, like a time capsule! The food came out quickly and was tasty, hot, and filling. We WILL return! ”

“ I've been going here for years, the closest thing State College has to a diner anymore. This restaurant was even in that Train movie Unstoppable! Food is pretty good, standard diner fare. Huge pies for dessert. The only 2 things that keep me from going more often; 1. It takes a good 20-25 min to drive there, and the bigger reason, 2. The other customers. I realize the restaurant has little control over it, but there are regulars that go here often. When they see someone new, they just stop and stare, mouth hanging open until flies land on their tongue. It's more of a lack of courtesy on the part of the public to not stare at people, particularly while they are eating. But that has more to do with poor parenting than it does the restaurant. Great place, hope they are around a long time. ”
